Willa the Westie! I was a wreck after our retired K9 shepherd passed, and did not want another dog. Willa changed that!

Sam has been gone a while now, but what a watch dog! I got him from a lady who had to get rid of him because he killed her neighbor's 2 smaller dogs. I found out why German Shepherds are used in law enforcement. He was a 1-person pet, he would not allow anyone to even get close to me.

He was only 8 when he passed suddenly from an enlarged heart. He was 130 pounds.

Fresh from the groomers a few years later. He developed an ear infection and his left ear drooped down after that.

blue72camaro, my toy [poodle her name is mildred. she had a mass on her spleen doc said she was going to die for if nothing was done she was 12 1/2 years old at the time we said operate. so far i dont want to jinx her but she's still alive and kicking at 15 years old . she weighs 13 lbs the tumor weighed 1.4 lbs had the vet show me. looked like a big chunk of liver. get a different confident vet its all about the anistethia and the stitching the possiblity of bleeding to death is there. she was surely going to die in a month now we have had her 2.5 years more and counting. she's sleeping on my legs as we speak. be prepared either way. my decision was a no brainer. a dog will fight to survive. its the attitude you feed the dog to fight. looks healthy, sent her tumor off and it wasn't cancer either. good luck and god bless. i would go for it and if your dog dies you gave em a shot to survive. survives? them youre like me happy as hell she got it done

Lots of nice cats & dogs on here. I've always been & dog guy, but I've come to tolerate the kitty's as I've gotten older. They're alot of responsibility & sometimes pricey when surgeries & vet bills get involved. Plus losing them is brutal, but I can't imagine a life without a wagging tail when I get home from work & the daily interactions with them. They are such wonderful companions, and help relieve our daily stress. Sometimes life gets hectic & we take them for granted, but just losing one has had me reflecting quite a bit lately & they truly are blessings from above
