I'm going to powder coat my rear window trim black.I'm not sure what the best appearance would look like.Should it be a glossy, semi glossy or flat?Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not glossy, I painted mine with semi gloss Rustoleum.

Get your powder coater to use semi flat. You will like the results.

We use that on a lot of the motor parts/brackets that we do and it always looks good.

A glossy finish on window trim will not look right in my opinion.

yep - semi gloss or satin, I'm leaning more towards the satin

I had mine powder coated in a "satin" finish 20 years ago and it still looks good.
(The windshield trim coating is showing a little wear from 80k miles of driving.)

If you want it to be a little more shiny... Give it a coat of wax and it will be semi-gloss.

What color is your car? I had a red 2nd gen with powder coated black window trim, high gloss. I thought it looked good.

I had mine powder coated in satin as well and they look great. I think glossy would have been too shiny and flat would have been too dull.
