To everyone who was trying to solve my problem of the thing not wanting to rev, i have CURED IT!!!.. Heres what I checked and double checked after talking with everyone on here.

    Wasn't fuel
    wasn't ignition
    wasn't Cam timing
    wasn't Valve adjustments
    wasn't valve springs

It was the da*n Breathers that i had in it!!!!, Put a pan evac system on it today (dont ever buy jegs brand, ITS JUNK!!!!) after replacing the one way check valves at the auto store i finally got it to pull a vacuum on the crankcase. The thing went wild, No more power loss, no more windage, no more Oil on my valve covers. What im thinking happened was the Crap breathers i had on it (no place on the carb or intake for pvc) Must have been so clogged up that it was building up too much pressure and causing problems in the crankcase. PROBLEM SOLVED!! thanks to all that helped, it now pulls and makes power to 7,000 where it should. Headin to the track tomorrow night to see what i can get out of it now... Nate

funny how something like a clogged breather makes such a difference! If the motor feels a lot better like you say, you should be tearing up times at the track! good luck.

I'll be at the track too :) . First time out racing since putting new heads/cam, built tranny and 3800 stall converter.. Should be a fun time getting traction on worn out M/T's. But hey i'll still have fun. If I get a buddy to go with me i'll get a vid of it.

This is a bit off topic, but what is the advantage of a pan evac system?

Not very much, i can get off the highway and pull a breather and its only a tad little bit.. you will always have some blowby, Im at 4 % leakdown and like i said, it has just a tad.
