progress report on the 73

    Well, I got the timing set and the carb dialed in pretty good today, seems to run out pretty good.
    Still fightiing the paint but it is almost done.

    I'm jelous, you get to drive yours. I drove mine for about 2 weeks this year, then started cutting it up for new panels...

    I think I got you beat. Bought the car in 02, just got to drive it last week.

    I haven't gotten to drive it yet, but at least I can listen to it breathe finally:D

    I am still fighting the paint problems right now with the main part of the body. I did however get all the front end mounted since it was ready to go, doors adjusted and lined up with the fenders, front nose, bumpers, grill ect.

    Tonight I hope to mount the hood and get it lined up then tape off and paint the stripes on the hood, deck lid, spoiler, divider panel.

    But just getting to hear it start and run makes me feel like I got something accomplished other than working my butt off almost every night.

    Got the subframe connectors welded in lastnight, mostly, need to finish that up tonight then hopefully start hooking up the shifter.

    It will be drivable sooner than you think, just keep plugging away at it.

    Yes. She actually went with us on a cruise down Route 66 on Saturday. No a/c and sweatin all the way. I haven't let her drive it yet, to much for her to handle ;-)

    LOL, I know that as soon as I get this car done, the wifes bitchin about spending time and money will be traded in for "Honey, can I have the keys to the camaro"??
