Now we're Jambing!

Jambs are all done. Just need to reassemble the fenders and hood. Hopefully alignment of the fenders and hood won't be too bad. It will be nice to see the car in one piece again! Once it's in once piece I will finish block sanding any remaining 2k not previously addressed. Then it's time to shoot the color! I've had plenty of practice to gain my first timer confidence up. I like it so far... and I will really like it once it has full color.

It is looking good. In addition to gun info, is that single stage? I assume it is because it is glossy.

Really watching how you are proceeding. I was thinking of doing the same thing (jambs, etc.) AND the fronts of all detached pieces (doors, fenders, trunk lid) OFF the car. You are going to attach then shoot. That may be a better plan. (Less damage to parts?)

Yes to all of the above. It is summit racing single stage paint(hugger orange). I plan on shooting a bit of clear after the stripes. Even though i could just buff it out being that it's a single stage. I will ultimately paint the car completely assembled. Im using a harbor freight gun...i dont have the part number (ill attach a pic soon!). The one that came in a 2 pack ("for automotive"). One is for detailing or touch up and the other is bigger (20oz cup). Used the 1.4 tip for the epoxy and the color. Had to use the 1.8 tip for the 2k. Needed more flowage for the 2K. Anyways....I need to get the color on soon....sost to avoid any 90 degree weather (only bought the activator for 70-80 degree weather). So far that has not been a problem in Wisconsin. Not that I figured it would be. All is good. Happy 4th everyone!!!
