How many of you guys run a quadrajet verses eddy or holley? i have a eddy on right now and thinking of having my quad rebuilt and tuned to my motor. On a correctly tuned quad could i expect to get better performance out of it verses the eddy?
    Thanks for the help

I like QJ's. Much more adjustable than the Edelbrock square bore carbs. Get one of the Ruggles or Roe books and educate yourself.

They haven't built the Edelbrock carb yet that will hang with a properly tuned QJet.

    But I'm biased.

I love Holley's. Can tune them in my sleep. The QJet is a better street carb. Had mine tuned by JET and dropped it on. Smooth, no bog or hesitation...runs fantastically.

The quick fuel slayer 750 is the best carb I've ever bolted on a street car. And I'm a holley guy.

I have had a 30 year love affair with the much maligned Rochester Quadrajet. Properly tuned really tough to beat. The Carter AFB to me is a close second. Edelbrock kinda sorta copied them for their Performer carbs but didn't quite get it right in my opinion.
