    QJet Power piston collar

I purchased kits from them before and unfortunately they do not come with the split collar your referenced (if it did, I missed it). I also thought that once the carb is assembled the collar could not come out, but I did find that happen to me once and I was pretty sure I had it in when I rebuilt it.

I have a 79 trans am with a 403, did you replace the factory Qjet for a spread bore holley? If so didn't the holley come with a side inlet chevrolet style meaning you would have to cut the fuel line, how did you run the fuel vapor recovery.

I have an Eddy but I do agree Quadrajets do not deserve the rep they have. They are great carbs. Many don't know how to work on them so they "dis" them. Love the small primaries and BMF secondaries. There's nothing like the sound of those big boyz opening under WOT.
