I am getting ready to repaint some of my interior items and was wondering about the dash. The original dash though quite faded did not look as if it was the same color as the remainder of the interior; it looks to be darker. Should I paint the dash(which is currently the new light saddle color) Sandalwoood or leave it saddle? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I took some pictures of an original 71Z years ago that had Sandlewood Int.
I will have to see if I can find them. I recall the dash being more of a dark brown color along with some of the other trim.

Ron, the original dash on my 71z with Sandalwood is the light Saddle color. It is darker than the seat and door panels. I thought I had a picture handy to show but can't find a good one.

You will remember this car. I talked to you in the past.

Greg thanks for the response, I may install the dash as is without changing the color.

John I do remember our past discussions. If you come up with the photo I would appreciate you forwarding it to me. I will probably keep the dash as I purchased it and install without painting.
