Much better shot...
Official announcement from NHRA...
Every boy on the street had sets. When we weren't having rock battles or fighting we set up the entire block with track. Then fight over who stole each others track and cars. We had hills in Pittsburgh so they would fly. Used the power house to try to send them back up hill. We tried to use track as skies when it snowed.
He was my favorite I collect hot wheels snake and mongoose cars and have lots of the hot wheels and posters signed by him
I gave away all my stuff when I went to boot camp. I kinda knew I'd never really be back after that. I had all the good one too. Some got beat bad from jumping. But the ones I really liked I kept on my dresser.
We are losing more of them over the years. Its a shame to see him go .I remember watching them during the 1970`s. Both a Pacific Raceways near Seattle.Washington.And Orange County International Raceway (OCIR) near Tustin,California.
RIP, one of the greats
