Well, that could be actually, I don't remember if my 2 buddies moved there's in board, I did not think so, maybe they only moved the drivers to the front position. One ran in the low 9's, the other in the mid 8's, leafs, no bars, lots of trial and error.

In the debate I followed on YB, there were three guys swearing on both shocks behind the axle, for every one guy who put them in front BTW. All had one thing in common regardless of fore/aft location of the shocks: straight up.

Interesting, thanks for sharing that. Just to be clear, the debate that you followed on YB on shock location and angle, was it mostly for drag racing application?

I had fitted a 325/50/15 and a 305/40/18 when I was building mine, wanted to keep the stock shock location and stagger due to using 3" tail pipes that did not require notching the tank corners.

Settled with 295/40/18's on 10" rims in the end, so no fitment issues with shocks in the OEM staggered location even with rear disc brakes.

Correct, all drag racing talk. To be honest, they eat everything alive that's not drag race related over there...:D

Do a search, multiple discussions. Here just a quote from one of them:

This is a loaded question really. I did a ton of testing with data logging shock sensor. Doing back to back runs with them mounted in the front and back on 68 nova making 1400-1600hp. Best 60ft on the 275pro was 1.092 with the shocks mounted in the rear and a best of 1.089 mounted in the front. Same day runs with a very good track. Shock data was very very close between the location. You could almost overlay the graphs without any difference.

Kind of figured, drag or nothing LOL. After building my car, and driving/tracking on the road course, and then autocrossing with my son, I don't miss the Drags so much.

You can't argue with results or the ET/MPH and the WIN light in a class, all the BS stops when your holding the big cheque at the end of the night LOL.

And a short time in the sub 1.1 with a 275 radial pro is absolutely hitting it hard...

I kind of forgot about this post till i seen Modifyer asking in the other post. I did get the kit mounted i will see if i can post some pic tomorrow. It was easy to mount with no problems installing it- drill 4 holes and some bolts. I had some consern with the Pypes exhaust system ( twin under rear seat muffles) tail pipes over the axle bends hitting the shocks. I have not got that far yet ,but looking at the same system on my other car i think it will have plenty of clearance.

275 mickeys,2.5 pipes, stock location for springs, no notch on tank. i ended up making new plates and modified pass side upper mount. Since you basically have clean slate, would mount everything that will be back there. I found out things start getting busy fast
