I'm thinking these rear stripes are too wide, but maybe I'm mistaken? Were they this wide for any year? Owner was going for a 70 z28 look on this particular car. It's a car I'm thinking about maybe making an offer on.

They are wide.Looks like the insides went in too deep.Still don't look bad.

That's what I figured. The pin stripe around them looks too small as well. I don't think I can offer enough to buy the car as I would have to have the trunk, spoiler, and filler panel repainted. It would drive me nuts leaving them not right.

    Just measure them . The rear is 13.42 constant ( straight ) with a 1/4 gap and a 1/4 stripe ....

Are all 70-73 the same width? I know about the differences with how they end at the spoiler.

EDIT... I searched and found the answer that all years are the same 13.42 width. I'm now confused on which years were rounded off on the spoiler and which continued straight down.

LA and Norwood Z28 stripes differ on the trunk lid.

Here is a low mile untouched LA 70 Z28 with orig paint.

Norwood (stripes drawn in the pic are not to scale)

I don't know if a tall spoiler makes a difference, But my rear stripes are 13 1/8" wide for the main stripe. The space and small stripe is just over 1/4" maybe 32nd over I'm guessing. The complete stripes are 9" apart. I used a stencil kit from Year One to paint them. Hope this helps.

I think it looks tough. I wouldn't change it.

edit: What's up with the bumper fangs. Why do some cars have them and others don't?
