Recovering from total knee replacement surgery again

    Surgery October 4th and three PT sessions later , I'm at 92°flexion and was told I can be discharged October 18th

    Ask them if they can put in a zipper and bolts to make the parts easier to replace. :)

    Seriously, do the work they tell you to do so it heals up right and works well for you.

    My Mother had both knees replaced when she was in her late 80s, and both went well and gave her more mobility than before replacement.

    This is revision surgery on the knee replacement I had 5 years , had it re shimmed .Yes I'm listening to my Doctor's and following their advice . As I previously mentioned I've only had (3) PT sessions so far and the first session I was at 68° flexion and at this afternoon's session I pulled 92° .

    Only thing that scared me was this last Saturday , day after surgery I was feeling nauseous and a nasty headache . The nurse checked my BP and it was 59/89

    never heard of re-shimming - I had my knee replaced almost exactly two years ago, and I am so glad I did. I think I only spent 5 days in the Hospital.
