Started mine & finding it to fit pretty good with no major issues;just hood alignment so far.
Has anyone else order this bumper cover? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger & buying it.
Great Thread,and Write up.
my 1980 is falling apart.
every time I look at it more of it is breaking off.
only 2 spots left to hold the upper grill on,and most of the spots that hold it under the grill are gone.
Great post guys.
I have been searching for New Dawn Enterprises , can anyone tell me where they are located and contact details?
Just curious, but is there something specific you are looking for? They don't sell directly to the public - or at least, they didnt back when I created this thread.
Hello all. This a great thread. Unfortunately some one backed into mine and put a good tear in the cover. Weighing repair vs replace and fiberglass vs urethane if replacing.
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their urethane front bumper cover with a fiberglass one and how it went?
I am leaning to the OEM style because I'm sure I will need to persuade it here and there. Thanks for reading and have a great holiday and 2020!!
If you have a body man in close proximity that knows how to correctly repair your original, I would let them have a go at it. These aftermarket urethane covers will work fine with some tweaking, but still won't fit as good as the original.
I have one I ordered from Jegs...it was dropped shipped from OER. The fitment is right on par with CDesperato's and others experiences.
Thanks Andy, I have heard that from several other people. It may be the best option seeing that this is all original and has never been apart.
I wouldn't use a fiberglass one, but that's just me. These covers will need to flex a little bit when you install. Fiberglass just isn't very flexible.
I've had no issues with my repop and am glad I bought it.
