rewire my 71

    Getting to ready order new wiring front to back for my 71. any pitfalls or other problems when I get to installion part?how long should it take ? Thanks for the help and ideas Greg

    if you have made no modifications to the original wiring, it should be fairly simple... just route everything exactly the way it is now... shouldn't take you more than a day's work... under the dash will probably be the hardest just getting it routed correctly, and the lack of space... if you have the option of removing some of the dash it will probably be a lot easier...

    if you have made some upgrades, you'll need top make the same upgrades to the new harness (it's easier done before installing)...

    are you getting your harnesses from M&H?

    I used a replacement engine harness from M&H, I unplugged from the engine side of the fuse block and removed the old one as I put in the new one.

    M&H makes absolutely perfect wiring harnesses as far as I am concerned (and I'm an Electrician). I replaced every harness in my 1970 Z28. All wiring was the correct length and all connectors were identical to the factory ones. Very easy to install.

    i used painless for my 70. no problems, took me about two days. i soldered every connection and then heatshrinked it.
