Hi everyone, what clamp or what type of clamp would you recommend for a return line in a power steering hose for 71 camaro ?

I see a lot of people use a regular clamps like they do with fuel lines, and stuff like that but if I do, can I just use any clamp ?

Thanks

The OEM clamp could have well been the thich-wire "Corbin" type of clamp. Easy and quick to install on the assy line, BUT also the type of clamp that was commonly replaced whenever the hose was changed to a stainless steel worm-drive clamp (i.e., normal clamp to many). Looking in an assy manual would be the best resource to consult, I suspect.

Just some recollections,

You could go fancy and use your tile nibbler pliers which don't fully close like side cutters. These are also available in a single crimp ear.

Since it’s low pressure any kind of hose clamp would work. I’ve been known to nab hose clamps off of older european cars, Mercedes, BMW’s, Volvo’s when at the junk yard. Some of them are fancy looking.
