    Hi all,
newbie to the forums and Nasty Z28 but, glad I found it!

I have a motor for my 71 Camaro that needs headers with 1-⅞ square ports w/ straight plugs. I am having a hard time finding headers to fit the car.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    thank you

    Welcome to NastyZ!

Post up a picture of the exhaust ports on the heads (copy/paste into your post).

    Are they aftermarket heads?

Any brand name or numbers on them?

Hi, why do you need 1 7/8" headers on a SBC? are you running that engine to 7500 rpm or better?

It’s what the engine builder suggested.
I did find some, made by Doug’s and Ceramic coated.

From my experience, I have used 2 different sets (before having my current 2" - 2-1/8" built) and both made big power and fitted with no issues:
    - Dynatech 1-3/4" step 1-7/8" into 3" collector
    - Hooker Super Competition 1-7/8" into 3-1/2" collectors (made over 700hp N/A and 1100hp on nitrous with those headers)

I have these ^^^^ it is a tight fit but they do fit. No issues running them.

I can vouch for the dougs stuff, mine are 4-5 years old and see a lot of rain here in fla. They look real good. Almost like new.

I have been running the Super Comps and they work well except for the need to drop the driver's side to change the oil filter because of my kick-out oil pan and the need to get the car on a lift, or way up in the air to get them in from underneath.
