I have a '70 with the bright blue custom interior. The vinyl is in really good shape but the drivers seat has some dirt & grime that needs to be cleaned out of it. What's the best way to clean the vinyl? I just want to make sure I don't use any products that will damage the vinyl & I need to figure out the best way to really get into all the little nooks of the comforts eave inserts to get those clean.

Just did this on my 77 camaro original vinyl seats. i used mothers cleaner/conditioner for vinyl/leather/plastic. sprayed it on liberally and really worked it into the seats and door panels and used my fingernails to get into the seams to clean and remove dirt. Worked very nicely, hope it stays looking this good for awhile.

Fast Orange or any of those type of handleaners. Start with the non abrasive first and then try the ones with a little grit in them.

It is astonishingly effective on rubber and plastic/vinyl parts. It cant hurt a thing to try as it is very mild. I think you will be very pleased especially since you probably have it around anyway.

I try to keep things simple. 409 or fantastic will clean almost anything, including cloth. A course rag and wipe off before drying, a small scrubbrush used lightly if needed. Followed by NU-VINYL. Good for 6 months.
