I'd sure like to find my first Z28. I sold it to Jim ****** in Monson, Mass., around 1980.

VIN: 124871N513667
Mulsanne blue, white stripes, white vinyl top, blue std vinyl interior w/console.
M21 4 speed, 3.73:1 posi.
D80 spoilers added, with front air dam extended 3 inches.
Unique spotting features:
2" Oil Pressure gauge added in instrument panel replacing cigarette lighter.
Cassette deck installed replacing ash tray.
Hush Thrush muffler

Any leads would be much appreciated, thanks !
Mike

40 years ago? Wow....That car could be recycled metal...a drag car...a different color etc...etc..That's a long time and I would be impressed if the guy you sold it to still had it. I bet its moved hands atleast a few times. How old was the guy you sold it to? 30? 40?...the guys likely with us anymore.

I bought my 70 Z28 from the orig owner in 1981 and he was checking out the car while we were having lunch on a patio 2 yrs ago and came up and asked if the car was for sale. I said it’s not for sale. He wants to buy it back. I told him a friend of mine owns 2, but he said, I only want mine.

That being said, anything is possible. Hope you get your 71 Z28 back.
