The glass on the side view mirrors of my 70 read 12 DMI-9 and 2 DMI-0. I assume the first number is the month and the last number is the year. What does the DMI stand for? Thanks

I believe that DMI is the manufacturer's code. It should mean that that mirror was manufactured by Donnelly Mirror Inc.

What side/type/dates are you looking for?
As an example;
I was looking for a passenger side mirror;
For a "bullet" style mirror;
Dated before June 1970 (my car is a 06A car).

You might try Heartbeat City.
If you still have the original it can be re-silvered and the face re-polished to remove scratches.

I believe this was suggested to me elsewhere;
IIRC they offer first gen dated mirrors, not second gen stuff.

Them and Paragon are the only places that I have heard of doing any date coded mirror stuff. I guess the market is not there.
I still have a driver side date coded mirror for a 68 Corvette that I bought from Paragon 22 years ago.
