Not really. It was a different name. I cant remember it though. But I have seen it on everything from a Sonic to Caddies to Envoy's and even popular on Malibu's. There are a few GM silver options. Some are fine flake but Switchblade is much heavier and on cars with sharp style lines gets real dark in the shadows.

Well, I'm looking for a color that had very fine metallic flake, so I may have to keep looking. The new (relatively) ford explorer has probably the perfect silver for me. I never realized how many different shades of silver there are!

I think I may have found it, AND it's a GM color (not that it really makes a difference). It's called "Silver Pearl" and was used in 65-67 corvettes, it was called code 16, also QQ, and 986, with a GM paint code of WA3314 (although they all seem to be the same DuPont code of 4621L and 181-97210) I'm just wondering what the "L" at the end of the DuPont code means?

Would anyone know if this is an ACTUAL pearl (as in part of the formulation) or just the name?

the '97 Z28 I bought new had a bright, fine metallic silver. That silver complimented the black accents very nicely. I think it was a Sebring Silver too. For some reason, it seems to photograph darker than which it is....so, most online google images doesn't do it justice. Look for the lighter shades on a google search of this color, it'll be closer to being right..
