Anyone use Skype?
Is it easy to use?
I have a magic jack..Same idea.....Works fine when my computer isn't on the fritz...
skype works fine for me. I used it to make calls from a desktop in Australia to a land line (my parent's home phone) in the Netherlands. It beat cell phone to land line reception and was a lot cheaper as well.
The other thing I use it for is to call my brother from the Netherlands to his cell phone (he lives in Ohio). Those calls are always good as well.
I'd imagine if you have dial up or some other slow connection skype may not work as well.
I'm looking more at the video conference of Skype, also does it cost anything.
I got my cell phone for just voice calls, just looking for a way to do video conference while I'm in PA so I can see my family every once in awhile.
no skype to skype is free and if you both have webcams then you can video chat also free.
Skype works fine for us. We got & use it to talk to my son stationed in Germany. Much better than talking to him on the phone...& it's free!
i use it on iphone when im in my room, i pay 82$ a month 450 anytime mins / unlim night and weekend mins, unlim data n text, unlim mins is like $120
so i use skype for $2 a month on my iphone and it works just like a cellphone. works great.
3g isnt fast enought o successfully work, but wifi in my room works great
Yep, we videoconference with a friend who lives in London. Surprisingly good video, and voice quality is great.
We used skype to do job interviews for perspective employees. It was cheaper than us flying them in...sometimes the signal would drop out or echo. We ended up using a cell phone with the skype video link.
For those that use Majic Jack, how do you like it?
We would like to dump our land line as we are paying 40 bucks a month for it but no longer really use it.
