If the dog spilled your water bottle on top of a power bar, is that something you should mention when someone is trying to find out why the living room breaker is tripping?

Seems like the power bar should have a breaker of some sort?

Apparently not, at least not a functioning one.

Depends on how much I like(or dislike) the person trying to figure out why the living room breaker is tripping :D

I would expect Nina (my dog) to tell me. I think she likes me?
Yeah that woulda been nice if it was mentioned. Just curious Dave, how did you figure that one out?

I kept asking my wife "what changed, what got plugged in or turned on" and she said nothing and got kind of pissy about it. The breaker would consistently trip instantly when you reset it, and it's a newer house with zero electrical issues over the last 3 years. I ended up just telling her to unplug stuff starting with the heating pad. When she unplugged the pad from the power bar she said it was wet and then mentioned the dog had spilled her water on the power bar about 5 minutes before she lost power in the living room. Magically with the bar unplugged the breaker quit tripping. I love my wife to death but she really believes stuff just breaks and doesn't have the slightest idea of diagnostics. It only cost me 25-30 minutes this go around. I figure she puts up with more of my crap then I do hers but I kind of found this amusing..............after I found it.

My wife can break ANYthing. I've got diagnosis nailed down to a few simple questions whenever I discover something not working around here.
Me: "dear, were using the (computer, dishwasher, car, AC, vacuum, TV etc...) today?" "Did you notice anything weird with it?"
Mrs biker: "oh ya, I forgot to mention, it just stopped"
    Me: "Jesus. Again".
    Oddly, no power bars yet.
