    This post is kinda discriminatory. "Fast" is not only about drag racing, although 5.40 in the 1/8 is sure as hell hauling the mail (over short distances). For example, if David Freiburger were a member here, he would probably have the fastest 2nd gen, having run 251 mph at Bonneville in the Hot Rod Special Camaro. Maybe we have a member who breaks records at standing mile events. That's fast. Maybe we have a member whose track day car harasses the heck out of Viper GTR owners. That's fast.

    All the drag and land speed cars are a pleasure to behold for sure. For me and many of the car owners on this site a NastyZ is first of all a classic Camaro one can drive anywhere in comfort, show the world what these cars look and sound like and fast enough to make it a rush to do it.

    Exactly, you are completely on the ball!!!
    One bad day at the track and I'm wishing I didn't have a 6-7-8 second car and miss jumping in and heading to the pizza joint!!!!
    Then it wears off, and I'm back filling N2O bottles and going back again!!!

    My joke is I could own an island with what I spent on my racing.
    Sometimes when writing a 20-30-40,000 dollar check I wonder how they don't put all of us racers in a straight jacket!!!!

    I'm sure all racers have non-racing friends that tell them they are nuts,
    I know when they found out I paid $100,000 for my car they sure did!!!

    Mine started as an 11 sec street car......I do miss those days.....I'm pretty sure I'd trade mine rt now for a 12 sec street car.
