Forgot to add. Trans was fine, we did change converter. Also took 28 pounds out of the car.
140? That's moving!
It ran 10.36 @ 140mph two runs back to back. I was jumping up and down inside that car! I was pumped! Took the car in to let it cool. 45 minutes later, made another pass and the car slowed down 4mph and ran 10.42 Brought it back in and put a new set of plugs in and it slowed down another 2mph but ran 10.426. Lost some alt density and moisture was starting to appear.
Headed back to track tomorrow night, Im determined to get back to 140mph. Im stoked!
10.90 @137 with a 2.2 60 ft, manual trans, 18" 30 series tires, stiff springs for road racing and auto-x. I just drove it on a 400 mile round trip to Myrtle Beach. I'll take a well rounded car that is pretty good at a lot of things over a car that is race oriented only any day.
That's why you buy multiple cars
I do have multiple cars but find myself taking this one most of the time because it's well rounded...even has a/c.
well rounded =$$$
There is always someone faster .No matter of what kind of car you drive .Street Car Race car .etc.
Unless you are this guy, then there is a fastest 2nd gen Camaro!!!
He's not on the site, but he had one badass 2nd gen drag car!!!!
