Holy crap! awesome!
1:49 was a LOT closer than 1:21, lol. Amazing no one was killed.
French pilots are F'n fearless ,watch this extremely low level pass maybe 50' off the deck of a KC-135 tanker
1:14 super sonic to generate the wave?
The guy in the first vid needs a hair cut, the pilot was just trying to save him some money on a buzz cut lol
at MCAS El Toro on either of the (2) 10k ft runways we used to see F4 phantoms at 450-500 knots or even faster coming in very low to the deck approaching from the southwest over Laguna Niguel .once they got over the air base they would be maybe less than 200' of the deck heading towards the Mtns . Sometimes depending on the pilots this was almost a daily routine and some even would get so low to the deck or buzz the tower it was fun to watch
Back in early 1982 just when the F/A18's were being introduced into the squadrons the CO's of both MAG-11 and MAG-13 put on a very cool flight demonstration as the CO from MAG -11 was in a F4 and the CO from MAG-13 was in a brand new F/A 18 .They both took off and then proceeded to have a mock dog fight over the base and surrounding communities to see what aircraft was better . This went on for maybe 45 minutes with extreme low level passes over the base at over 500knots and then up as high as 10-20k ft .Mind you this was not during a airshow but just a normal day on the air station and the calls from pissed off/mad homeowners being recieved at the commanding generals office was out of control
I don't think he was being fearless, I think he was trying to read road signs to figure out where he was and where he was going!
thats this guy who used to be on speed ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain_de_Cadenet.
