Every November we have our local Marine Corps ball here. For those of you who are familiar with these events, you know that it is tradition to honor the oldest Marine in attendance and the youngest Marine in attendance. For a number of years running, our oldest Marine in this area has been this man. He passed on this week so the torch of "oldest Marine" now will be passed on to the next Marine in line.
    Here is his obituary.

Thats true I see them at the Veterans Administration every once in a while .They are pushing a 100 years old and my parents were of that generation.I talk to them about the areas we have both been to .Like the Philippines Okinawa and other areas of the South China Seas.

Whenever I'm at the VA and I see a WWII Vet , the first thing I say is " Thank-you for your service " . This usually then starts with talking with them and the stories they tell are awesome

As for the Marine " Harold Krueger " , He now has orders to report to Saint Peter were he will guard the Gates of Heaven
