After my nanny systems post, I found a lot of people are like me in not caring to be coddled. I've been thinking that something that used to be an option, became standard and now is disappearing. The day night function is going away on rear view mirrors. Back in the 50's, a night setting was an option. By the 60's, it was on all the cars and most of the trucks. My 2000 Cadillac Escalade doesn't have a night setting on the inside mirror. Lot's of buttons, but no night setting. the girlfriends 2015 Equinox doesn't have it and the 2018 Nissan I rented recently didn't have it either. The Cadillac has heavily tinted windows from the kid before me and that helps. I've found my elderly eyes don't handle bright lights at night like they used to. I wonder why the night setting isn't put on cars anymore? My '99 F150 has it.
