I may go this way too just for fun regardless of the claimed performance benefits, especially if I stay with a small block. I've gotta move my battery to the trunk first though.... planning to buy the battery kit next weekend.

Here is mine. It's a Spectre single tube design so you don't have to relocate the battery.

on the boxes containing the spectre CAI kits spectre says for every 10 deg drop in ambient air temp is equal to a gain in 10hp

i wouldn't ever again buy a spectre CAI again ,i bought one for my camaro and the inlet tubes set at 180 deg apart from ea other and being 4" dia hoses wouldn't allow my fiberglass lift off hood not to sit on the hood pins correctly and the air cleaners look very restrictive

A mate of mine designed a cold air intake which he made and has fitted to a 32 Hi-boy.
It uses a coil from a thermo-electric fridge/cooler - which can be purchased for about $50.00
The coil has been modified to go the full length of the intake tube.
On days with high humidity, I've seen condensation form on the outside of the tube. Talk about cold air - and that little 302 cu" gets the front wheels to lift off the ground when launched at full throttle.
