Spy Balloon

Being from Alaska, I take issue with shooting the spy balloon over my State. Just my luck that the falling debris would hit my pet moose.
As a side note:
F 15 ——— 70 kills
F 16 ——— 140 kills
F 22 Raptor - 1 balloon

I read that the Navy diver’s, while searching the debris field, found thousands of Holley carbs and Edelbrock manifolds and other 2nd gen parts.

typical govt overkill. send up a multi million dollar aircraft and shoot a balloon with a million dollar missle and spread the wreckage all over the place and spend $$$ searching the debris field.
why not shoot the thing with 1 bullet to create a ow leak and bring it down slowly and pick it out of the ocean in 1 flaccid piece? jim
