    FSA is shown as a 3.8L V6

I find a lot codes FS_, starting with FSB to be 1994 GM truck engines, RPO L05 350/210 hp with manual trans, TBI, used in pickup, van and forward control vehicles.

I just found a 1984 code FSH, being a 350/165 hp with 4-bbl carb, RPO LS9 used in 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks. Maybe a A could be cofused with a 'H' by u? or by goon working in engine plant.

It possible a screwup was done at the engine plant but no reliable sources I have, GM parts and interchanges show it to be a V8 engine code.

You are going to have to search the block for casting numbers and casting dates, they may help pin down the CID and years used, either 84 or 94.
