The Hawaii 5-0 theme starts playing in my head when I see surfers riding out waves like that.

A little too strong for me on my boogie board. Do surfers actually get on those waves?

Not only the insane surf can kill you but during this time of year shark sightings are up . There's Great Whites , Tiger sharks , Hammer heads and White tip sharks all swimming alongside the surfers

I don’t think these surfers (who challenge rolling mountains of water) even consider sharks a credible threat.

That would be like worrying about wood ticks while fighting a forest fire.

Interesting tidbit - there is a bouy somewhere off the coast of Hawaii, when it records a higher than normal wave height, it will snow in Utah in two weeks, give or take a day. Its wildly accurate for bar room weather. I think it “popped” yesterday or the day before, so somewhere around the 27-28th ski resorts in Utah should get some snow.
