tach needle stuck at 4,000

Hi Daniel:

Needle is stuck at 4,000, even with the engine off. Start the engine and needle does not move. A while back the tach had the same and you rebuilt it

HEI is installed

Any suggestions before taking it out for another rebuild?

I don't think Daniel monitors this, or any site. Best way to get him is by phone. I'm certain you've checked connections, power, etc. Good luck.

I know that my tach flips up to a number before shutting the car off. (I believe this is where some limiter is set or something like that). It is possible that this might be what you are seeing?
