Your outer spoiler may be a bit high as the line to the taillite area seems out. And I would put the weatherstrip on the lid and close it to adjust the center spoiler. You will see your trunk panel bulge in the middle to the Q panel most likely and have fun aligning that line too, sorry !!

Thanks Bill, Jbloake, and dichard for the suggestions. It worked perfectly. Hopefully, someone out there that runs into this situation will help. It closed the gap and I managed to tweak the upper deck filler to make all of the body components level out.
it a old post but i am running in the same problem . 1/4 hare ok but i need to shim up the hinge to have trunk even to 1/4 . back window is ok .
on your car did you raise center section or the hinge were to low also ? . my trunk is painted .... i did weld and put body glue to everiting .... dont think it will move . i am ****

Hello Cisco, sorry for the late reply. For the center of this area, my buddy and I raised it by placing a small bottle jack and gently raising it up and down until we got to a desired height. What my buddy did for the hinge portion of the trunk, he machined out an aluminum piece shim. But it still not as aligned and/or level with both quarters. I stopped all fabrication in this area and moved to the front. Yes, it's very frustrating. I hope this helps. If you need any pics, let me know.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but those that had the gap between the rear hinge panel and deck filler panel, would you mind sharing how you fixed it. I’m in the same boat and when I jacked mine up, it messed with the trunk to quarter side gaps and made the rear quarters want to lift. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Been fighting this section of the car for way too long and it’s starting to get old…lol.

Hello, my buddy placed an aluminum shim in between the trunk hinge and the trunk, but I'm sure it's not the correct way to do it. I haven't been working in the area of the vehicle. I haven't finished it. I've been out a while. Sorry if this is not the answer you're looking for.
