Oh,, and because I'm a lazy old fart... I run tubes,, tubes in the slicks, tubes n the front runners... I simply HATE futzing with tire pressure 2 and 3,, or 5 times between rounds. Before tech check PSI ,, After the first round I set PSI as quick as I get back to the pit. Then I only check them every other lap unless I have one side in the sun,, or the air temp climbs horrifically. But my pile of junk will pull 1.2 sixtys at 11 psi or 8.5psi,, it don't care. The truck was the same way,, WAY too much tire but the pig dead hooked (and ate parts) but with a 17x33 slick and TUBES it didn't care .. 1.4 sixtys (10.60ET) pretty consistently. Truck was 3630 pounds,, Nova is now 2860 pounds. So maybe the porkers like tubes.. I don't know. Sorry, got a bit off track hu.
