Been spending far too much time on my laptop the last 20 months or so. I used to go to a couple drag racing oriented sites for hours every day. Unfortunately they have become so consumed with hate and political opinions (mostly one sided) that I no longer enjoy them.
Nasty Z28 has become the site I enjoy the most by far when it comes to automotive internet time. Hats off to the moderators who quickly react and lock down the politically slanted rantings of a few members before it goes on for long. Keeping this site on point with topics and discussion regarding our cars and their many components, is greatly appreciated and enjoyed.
    Cheers !

Plenty of places on the internet to read (or post) political rants.

Too distracting and divisive for a car oriented forum, IMO.

team chevelle had a current events forum for politics and such, they finally shut it down, probably a good idea too, im here and there for car stuff, the bs section is good for swap meet talk, talk about other hobbies (honda ATC's!) kids etc. jim

We had a multi year experiment with a political forum here and it didn't end well. The negativity spilled out into the general forums and friendships, both online and in real life, were destroyed as a result.

Needless to say, politics are no longer welcome here.

Yeah - I fought to keep the politics "special projects" forum in place for a long time, and we were wise to let it go. For a time we had some really interesting discussions, but things just turned too ugly.

I've been spending time over at Corvette Forum recently, as I got a C5 as my daily driver a few months ago. They have a politics forum... my god, what an abortion that is.

Funny one of those sites that branched off to a second site is where I heard about this site. The split was from what I could gather about people having hissy fits took their ball and left. Anyway, I really haven't been there in over a year. This is my social media.
