    D-Day has arrived.

I was too overwhelmed with electrical because I fried my harness when I was 21 when I bought this car in 1995. Then I ripped it out in 1997.....and couldn't figure out how to put the NEW Painless harness into the car. So I dragged it with me as a broke / partying 20 something year old for 5 more years, no harness in it. Then finally got my cousins husband to rewire it.....but he completely FUBAR'd it and hid it. He wired in my OLD harness to the NEW fuse panel. I didn't know this until AFTER the LS1 was put in , because he loomed everything nicely, but it was a frankenstein botch job.

So after 14 years of waiting, and me finally learning the ropes on electrical and reading the schematics and overcoming my fears of wiring, I'm gutting the f'n pig again. :bowtie: This time I think I know what I'm doing ( I hope  ) and the Highway 22 kit from American Auto Wiring is going into it this time with the LS1 / 4L60e. I'm marking anything that I can't identify for later. So far it's only been a few hours today and it's almost gutted. Wish me luck. [IMG]

    Here we go again!!!!!

    Okay, finally completed gutting it.
Now ....I have to run the new harness and start crimping, soldering, and heat shrinking next weekend.

If you google "Cobalt Gauges" you will see my gauge bezel is the #1 hit.
I've had gauges since 2006......but I have never put them in.

After FINALLY attempting to do so this summer .....I just realized my wiring
is so f'd up I needed to just gut the pig and start all over again. This time
it will be a thing of beauty. I got some good tips on connectors too off an

Yeah, just bought it off my Uncle in North Carolina in May 2009.
    Got it for a steeeeeeal.

She's done, just waiting on reupholstered seats completion.
Blew close to $4,000 so far on that one, so the Camaro has been due for attention.
BTW - Sidepipes are getting powdercoated .....the chrome just doesn't hold up to the winter.
