A farmer in Central Alberta caught 3 guys sneaking around his property, one of them jumped on the farmers quad & tried to drive off with it. The farmer chased the guy down, rammed the quad & then fired 2 rounds from a shotgun at the thief. He wounded him but the guy got away. The farmer then called some neighbors & they tracked the guy down in the field, the thief escaped & then stole one of the neighbors trucks, crashed it & got caught again.

Because this is Canada, there is no mention of charges against the thief because there probably won't be any but the farmer is "charged with seven offences, including assault, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and discharging a firearm".

What a messed up legal system.

Sounds like America too. I don't think our legal system is much better.

In the US the criminal will be able to sue the farmer for medical expenses and pain & suffering. Probably get a couple hundred grand.

The US is headed down the same road now. Our government is about as liberal as yours so we now protect the law breakers and punish the honest people.

That is what happens when those of the "ELLE" word persuasion take over.
You are Royally IMPREGNATED when a THIEF has more rights to STEAL from you than YOU do to protect Your life or Goods!

It helps when there is only one side to the story when it's reported to the responding officer....

Texas is the only state that has common sense left in property defense and gun rights as a whole if you ask me.

Ron Paul is also from Texas and represents this as well.
