The E-Tec motor we built for the 73 Vette last year went down the quarter in the low 12's. That was with a standard Performer intake, Hyd cam, those crappy Hooker muffler inserts about 1" round in the sidepipes, in 100 degree temps and setup with autocross suspension. It was also his first time on the track.

Now that it's getting a cowl hood the intake will be replaced and I suggested he take the corks out of the exhaust for next time.

These heads really do work well for the cost.

I remember my first time running a 6.9 in the 1/8 mile and then them not letting my run anymore cause I didn't have a cage, it was like a pat on the back for a job well done to me. Now it sucks, but what a feeling the 1st time.
