Youve had that thing for at least as long as ive owned mine, 10 years or more. You and your dad fixed it up. Youll regret ever selling it.

financially your idea is bad. but if you are considering it maybe you are not all that attached to the 2nd gen.

i guess i'm the only one to disagree with everyone else. get the 2010 (we love ours). the late seventies camaro might increase in value in the next 15 years, but so what? you then have a 10,000 dollar car? i like the 2nd gens because they are cheap but still kinda ugly (74-81). i still like the 70-73's.

    Noobwrench has a point.

Another thing to me is that the new camaro just doesnt feel like a camaro to me anymore. from 67-02 all camaros were on the F-body platform. But the 2010s not. Camaros were known to have certain characteristics such has the seats so low u feel like ur riding on the floor lol, slick lines, not the smoothest ride. But now its just another comfort car to me. I like them for the fact they are camaros but other than that, well its just another new car to me.

OK, OK, after giving it some thought, I'll keep the '78. I never really wanted to sell to be honest. The main reason why I was considering it is due to my lack of parking space. I'd love to have a 2010 and the '78 at the same time but I have no more "safe" parking areas. My Camaro stays in a garage and I have a 2004 Silverado that stays in a covered parking spot. I thought about looking for an indoor storage place to store the '78 for a long time but the cheapest I've seen is $110/month. That could get expensive over time.

I say keep the second gen. If you really need something new, then get it, but don't get rid of the old!
