This a good deal for an old Garden Tractor?

    That tiller has its own engine on it. Now you will have TWO engines to keep running to do one job. I dunno........The twin cylinder onan engine is worth 400 bucks by itself. And it does have a nice assortment of attatchments. I'm not a fan of the whole deal because you have a finiky electric lift, no power steering, and no hydrostatic drive. That thing will will give you a real workout using it.

    I had one of those Sears tractors like that & they are awesome.They are very strong tractors due to the 6 speed trans-axle they have.The only problem may be getting parts for the mower deck.Roper made these tractors for Sears.

    From looking around online this isnt a mid 70s but probably a 78 or 79 model
    And I guess its not a suburban technically as its a GT18

    It will basically be like steering my newer 22hp craftsman GT no? I only have a mechanical steering assembly on it with drag link etc

    I have one similar to it but mine has a 16hp briggs. I've seen these sell for around $1,200.00 w/ some attachments. Mine is a 1978 GT16.

    He said not only did he sell the second parts tiller to a coworker but also the manual 3 point hitch assembly and homeade blade :(
    Was hoping To offset some of the cost of the GT by selling the hitch. I've seen them go for $100-$225
