I love the original, I remember they played the hell out of it when I was very young. Nice to see the respect given the Lynn

I still listen to lynn on 8-track,her tapes had that cool plastic clamshell for storage! Also Connie Smith  Wifey doesn't get how I can go from Judas Priest to that in one sitting.I got nostalgic last week and dug out my dads old truckin 8 tracks, was listening to "I'm a truck" by Red Simpson when she came in! She unplugged the player and took the cord :( Later Steve!!

I should pop a few pics of the truckin 8-tracks,C.W. McCall is a rabbit hole of his own, neat story of how he became a "sensation" had many albums bordering on parody/comedy songs like "crispy critters" if you remember that one.I believe he got recognition as a "rap artist" if I remember as his work was considered the spoken word:rolleyes:-he did try to sing on some of the albums but its not very pretty.
I've always called my dad a teamster/Hoffa movie type trucker foul mouthed punch you in the face for real type.We used to count how many curse words of combinations of them [you can do that LOL] he'd let rip at suppertime while describing his day/run I think the record was 28.He cut his teeth starting in 1951,drove those old beasts, heck he used to tell the stories of how diesel rigs weren't even common here in the early 50's that was all "west coast stuff"Lots of cool memories-truck stops with the "truckers section" and trucker stores with those bootleg Gusto and Pickwick 8-tracks.THANK YOU for posting that cool stuff for me/us! Later Steve!!

Haha. My uncle drove truck back in those days of our youth. I remember those trucker song collections were always advertised for sale on tv...
