goin' offline.. packin' bags...
Agreed. Especially if you can prove that they intentionally entered a known-occupied dwelling. It's not the burglars that scare me... it's the ones that will enter knowing full well there's people inside that scare me. That's a whole other level of brazenness/intimidation
What scares me is if I'm asleep and they try and enter. As long as I'm awake, I have a fighting chance.
The San Juans are truly a paradise!! Even Ryan admitted he'd become a hippy if we could move to Orcas Island!
My girl friend lives on Friday Harbor, and I feel the same way Ryan does. If I ever move there, (shes trying to get me to ) I would never leave again......why would I?
Odd,we have less handguns up here, and less crime. weird
I disagree, there isn't any punishment other than death that will stop some of these animals. They don't care period, they don't have the rational.
I've been to Friday Harbor to attend a jazz festival, real nice place to visit and plenty more sunshine out on the islands, compared to the mainland.
The more people that go there, the more crime will rise. It's an attractant. Kinda like a blue light.
If you're talking about the San Juan islands, then you need to understand a few things. First of all, it's expensive to live there, which creates a caliber of people that have no need to steal or commit other crimes. Secondly, if you commit a crime there, you won't be making a quick get away. You will be hanging around to catch the next available ferry off the island which costs $60.00 by the way. If you commit a crime after a certain time in the evening, you won't be getting off the island until the next morning......unless of course you want to swim.
