That was a real question and that did not explain Canada Day. You'd think Canadians could promote their country without trying to down another.
Universal Health Care.
Canada's single-payer healthcare system forced over 1 million patients to wait for necessary medical treatments in 2018. At the time an all-time record
Those long wait times were more than just a nuisance; they cost patients $1.9 billion in lost wages, according to a new report by the Fraser Institute, a Vancouver-based think-tank.
The Metric System? Ha!
Poutine? I could have a field day with that one but I'll let it go.
Bag milk? Funny. This thread is dedicated to milk bags.
Don't worry. I no long want to know what Canada day is.
Back to our regularly scheduled program.
Wow, alright Camarolina, the "Real" answer to your question then is as follows:
"Canada Day is a national observed holiday that is celebrated on July 1st marking the anniversary of Confederation in 1867, basically this is when the 3 colonies became a single country called Canada within the British Empire". Boring eh!!
More importantly, to any members that have taken offence to my "tongue & cheek" reply and video link to "What is Canada day?" is, please be aware that I did not mean any disrespect to anyone or the USA, sorry about that.
I will delete my post so as not to further disturb your regular scheduled program.
I didn't think my post was worth a "wow" and no reason to delete anything.
So its Canadian Independence Day from confederation in 1867. Happy belated Canada Day.
I mean you also have something called Boxing Day but no one actually fights on purpose on that day. A least I don't think so.
Has the circus opened back up?
its called a light switch!
I took it as a typical Canadian self-deprecating humourous response to a question that, if it wasn't meant to be funny, was obviously a jab. I think we know who is trying to do the "running down".
Bring on the milk bags. LOl...A couple of those tarts too.
