Iirc tremec requires it
It is definitely worth doing George. A magnetic base dial indicator is cheap. It takes some patience and time, but if u ever have a warranty issue, they will ask right away if you did that step.
I have no choice.You have NO IDEA what dowels you will need IF any at all.....
My stock dowels and Bell were within specs.....
Maybe a little less concern of the warranty and more about having the Transmission work right?? If you install it NOT withing specs it might possibly not shift correctly besides wear out very fast......

All factory 4-spd cars, at least early-2nd gen, came with the hump. I kind of wish mine didn't, because I'm not fond of the factory console. Plus, the Hurst shifter boot I love, I can tell, was really designed for automatic cars getting converted to manual.i wish my hump fit my floor that well.... was the hump in all 4spd cars?
