actually it was created for the super shifter series because they sat up high in the floor so you had to cover the whole body of the shifter. ask me how I know lolWasn't that called the Super boot? That was made to cover up floor cutting failures....
hard to say... I always ran the competition plus shifters which were designed as a stock replacement. when i changed the camaro over to 4 speed some how i ended up with a hurst super shifter. primarily designed for heavy handed racers. the shifter linkage rods were straight and reinforced so racers wouldnt bend them. the price for straight rods was having the whole body of the shifter sitting up in the body of your car. not to mention to the drivers side. so i had to make to cuts and bend back a portion of the tunnel to clear the linkage rods. now ive tried to beat that all back into place and will have it welded up but im hoping some screws will mate it up better and i'll use something like liquid nails to also glue and seal and then seam seal around the outer edge.As far as I know, yes.
I wonder how the hump will fit on my floor. Still I waiting for some parts and then it will break out.
that looks about like my wiring i had to deal with when i got the car back....cept mine was all hacked up from a previous painless harness install back when painless was universal andAll factory 4-spd cars, at least early-2nd gen, came with the hump. I kind of wish mine didn't, because I'm not fond of the factory console. Plus, the Hurst shifter boot I love, I can tell, was really designed for automatic cars getting converted to manual.
Here is a very early pic of when I got the car in 2009 ...

Here is how it looks right now. I'm really pleased with the Cupholdersplus.com console. I get it that guys (and gals) would want an original, or repro console. I really do. I just don't like them very much.

I also have a TKX from Silver Sport Transmission. It's AWESOME.
Old school, and really old shifter boot I just had to use. It came with the pile of parts I got with the car. And now I'm done jacking your thread, George. I'm sorry, I'm not ready to sell Butternut yet

I wish my boot was smaller length and width-wise, and fit the hump. It's the red H that I love. Certain things just strike a chord with me. As it is, the chrome trim ring is bent down and around at the bottom left. I'm sure you guys would hate it. I can live with it for now.actually it was created for the super shifter series because they sat up high in the floor so you had to cover the whole body of the shifter. ask me how I know lol
I remember the Super Shifter.. The few I remember who purchased them returned them due to the hacking up of the floor required to use one... I want to say they would not fit console cars??hard to say...
