Nice! Ya, Gene is a good guy. All of them there are focused on doing whatever they can for customers.
Same with the TKO kit for console cars. STX shifter, but didn't have to weld anything.

Yeah I had no idea about the little hump thing he is saying that I need to weld. He told me its extremely simple to do and I can even rivet it in if I didn't want to weld it.

UPDATE:
Just put in my order with Silver Sport. Thanks for all the input. Gene is who helped me out and he seems like a good dude.

FYI something I did not know. If you want to use the center console, you have to weld in a little hump so that the shifter can sit up in it and you also have to upgrade to their SST STX short throw shifter. I did this since I want the center console factory look. If you dont care you can just have it come out the floor with a boot.
Cool - congratulations!! It is hands down one of the best upgrades I've EVER done; 5th gear on the highway is just SOOOOOO much nicer ha ha. And it shifts SOOOO smoothly.

The guys at Silver Sport know their stuff and are very helpful - I think you'll be happy :)

FWIW, this is the shifter stick I ordered in order for the handle to be in the "right" place:

The one I had for the Super T-10 caused the handle to be way too close to the dashboard in 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears.

Thank You!

Yes! I have been looking at shifters all day. This helps a lot. Thanks.

Non TKX issue here but on my 71 Z28 back in ‘75 I installed a new Hurst Comp Plus shifter and didn’t like the angled stick, so I gave it heat and pushed it straighter.

Good to hear, and you will love the STX short throw shifter !!!

I went with Modern Driveline and do not remember seeing this as an option.......Is this short throw shifter a Silver Sport only item?
Yes I believe they make it themselves. I think they might offer them on their website. Although, I asked him if it was something I can bolt on later and he said not really. Maybe he meant it wasn't something easy to install by just bolting it on.
