To emblem or not to emblem

I’d be interested in thoughts regarding retiring emblems on the hood, trunk, fenders and grill. I have a 1970 SS Camaro project underway. Original emblems are classic of course, but finished bodywork without emblems provides a nice clean look.
Thoughts and opinions? Any prior threads on this topic?

…’retiring’ should read ‘restoring’

If you're restoring your car "because it's an SS" and originality is your aim, then you're going to want all original emblems, IMHO. Admittedly though, I'm a fan of the "stealth" look of few or no exterior markings (stripes, etc) so it's going to depend on the type of project you're working on.

Similar situation. Just acquired a fairly nice '70 RS. Has everything but the "Camaro by Chev" badge on the trunk. Looks pretty good w/o. With the spoiler, I kinda think that badge looks out of place. Undecided🤔

I’m going to go for the SS emblem on the grill, otherwise there isn’t much to indicate my car is an SS apart from the original build sheet. I have the trunk emblem you referred to above and probably won’t use, so check back when you decide.

The only emblem on my Camaro is the one on the gas door in back. Even then, I went with a different year because of the color. I think it looks cleaner that way, but that's just my opinion. You can always try it the way you like it, and add them later if desired.
