Finally had a nice day today, (= not raining) and decided to take the Camaro out to stretch it's legs. Came across the Wounded Veteran's of Oklahoma car show in Mannford and decided, why not put the car in the show. So I paid my $20 and enjoyed some typical Oklahoma weather (humidity).

When they passed out the awards, they called out the Camaro as a top 15 winner :).

Needless to say I wasn't expecting to get anything but it makes all the work put into it a little easier to justify the headaches.

But as usual with this car nothing is easy. Left the car show and headed home, got on the road and the brand new torque converter I just installed last month decided to let go :(.

So I limp it home, park it in the garage and have a serious discussion with it on why I shouldn't sell it.

Just doesn't seem right that it got attention and then begs for more. :(

Congrats on the award!

What are the symptoms of the torque converter failure?

Congrats. I haven’t been to a cruise night or show since Covid started. We’re not layed back yet in Canada.
If I had a new TC blow on me, that would make me want to go manual. Then you’d have something to do with your right hand.;)

Thanks everyone, car did look good in the show.

Twisted,
It shudders on take off in all gear ranges. I can put it in first gear and it will shudder then slowly move, once it gets moving it will shift to second but not third. If I shift it into second gear, or at least what the shifter position is showing as second gear, it will shift to third. If I put it just into drive, it has some serious slippage and will eventually move the car.

By the way it's a th350 and yes the fluid level is full.
