I ordered a high perf timingng set from summit.the cam gear has a torrington ,needle bearing attached to it..has anyone used this set or a Torrington bearing behind the cam gear?my concern is if it falls apart and those small parts get in the motor..and advice is appreciated..

    Just a thought:

Your sig says you have a 355 w/ a solid roller cam. Is this timing set going in that motor? Is it a factory roller block (designed to use a thrust plate/retainer between the cam and gear)? Are you currently using a thrust plate or a cam button to prevent cam-walk? I ask, because I'm thinking the torringtons would prevent the installation of a thrust plate. If it's not a factory roller block, please disregard my questions. Thanks!
