Total lunar eclipse tonight

If you have clear skies… Take a look.

I’m going to try to take a couple of pics tonight as this is the first time in several years I’ve had a clear sky to view this event.

Got some pics through my spotting scope (set to 30X) with my iPhone…

It's VERY difficult to hold still enough (3 second exposure) for a crisp pic but these weren’t too bad.

The first pic was just before totality. (It was still bright on the right side.)
The other ones were were during the total eclipse.

You can see how much "wiggle" was captured by the background stars.

I wasn't missing it...sky was perfectly clear, and moon right outside my balcony. I also caught the sunrise eclipse last year as well. I like this kind of thing.

Busted out the telescope to watch it. Very cool indeed.

Everytime I look through that thing, it's a reminder how small we are and how petty all our problems can often seem in the grand scheme of things...
